The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Monday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s Nalsoft for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation. TSRTC is the first and fastest among all the State Road Transport Corporation undertakings in India to commission and implement it.
The MOU was signed and exchanged between TSRTC and M/s Nalsoft today in Bus Bhavan. by Shri. Sajjanar and CA.Venkata Nalluri, CEO of Nalsoft.
The commissioning and implication is also a complex one given the mammoth organization is. With over 10,000 fleet, 47, 528 thousand employees (of which 37000 are drivers and conductors, balance mechanics), managing them 200 officers, 99 depots(20 units managing them), 364 bus stations, 3000 routes, managing 45 lakh passengers (30 lakh fare paying and 15 lakh bus pass holders), travelling 32 lakh kilometers each day. It is probably the only Public Transport Corporation in India with diversified businesses such as Cargo, water brand of its own etc. and others. It also has another unique distinction. Given the mammoth size of the organization, people and operations, it is a very challenging task to implement ERP in a record time, but we all are committed to the same, added shared Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS, Vice Chairman and Managing Director.
Soon after signing the MoU, Shri. V.C.Sajjanar, IPS, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, TSRTC, said that as part of digital transformation of various services and improving the internal efficiency they are using the latest technology in the corporation.
Shri. Bajireddy Govardhan, Hon’ble MLA and Chairman, TSRTC and Shri. Sajjanar had reinforced the need to have an effective Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to have an online back office system for depots, zones and the head office, integrating different departments, including m Finance, HR, Payroll, Mechanical Engineering, Stores and Purchase Departments for a centralized control and access.
In order to integrate all the Departments and front office systems, Shri. Sajjanar said, TSRTC has decided to implement the Oracle ERP project and M/s Nalsoft will be the implementation partner.
Further, Shri. Sajjanar stated that TSRTC has been in the forefront in adoption of latest technologies and earlier introduced several IT Projects to reach out to the passengers and employees.
The year 2023 will be an IT year of TSRTC, Mr Sajjanar declared. It will yield good results for the corporation. It will help integrate all operations. It will be a great beginning for us. This is an era of IT initiatives. No organisation can progress without embracing technology into their day to day operations, he added.
Online Passenger Reservation System, Online Bus Pass System, Cargo and Parcel booking System, Vehicle Tracking and Passenger Information System are the major customer interface projects. Static QR Code based UPI Payments are introduced at all the counters, online booking and in long distance reservation services and Pushpak Airport buses. Online booking of Bus On Contract and TTD Special Darshan Entry Tickets are also introduced for the passengers.
Recently, the Corporation has launched “TSRTC Bus Tracking” App for tracking the buses, Commercial App for proper management of commercial revenues and TSRTC Employee App to manage the daily attendance, leave and grievances of employees.
Speaking on the occasion Sri CA Venkata Nalluri, CEO, Nalsoft said it is a collective effort. The timeline is just 9 months. It is very challenging as it takes years, but given their dedication, they will commission and complete it in a record time period of nine months. We must all gear up to meet those deadlines. The project kick starts today. He appealed to all to cooperate in successful execution of the project.
Speaking further he added that business has to be process driven rather than people driven. People move, retire, come and go. But the processes remain and govern all.
