GST was implemented in India, as part of the “One Nation One Tax” idea and to increase tax system transparency. GST is a single tax system that many nations throughout the world have embraced. The subsumption of numerous indirect tax levies in the GST in India has helped firms become more globally competitive. This program examines the evolution of this idea following the implementation of GST in the year 2017.
