South India's biggest B2B (Business to Business) Industrial Machinery and Engineering Exhibition kicked off at Hitex on Friday. More than 150 exhibitors are participating from across India in this three-day expo, which is focusing on industrial automation, smart, efficient, intelligent machinery, industrial robots, industrial software, AI in Industries and women in industries
The three-day expo which will conclude on Sunday is regarded as one of the biggest expos on Industrial Machinery and Engineering products as features about 500 plus machines demonstrated live and over 400 brands on display.
Dr. E Muthuraman_Chairman of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Council and Ms Ramadevi, Director, of the Emerging Technologies Wing, Govt of TS inaugurated Indomach Industrial Exhibition at Hitex.
Speaking on the occasion interacting with the media Dr. E Muthuraman said, MSMEs are complementary to large industries as ancillary units and contribute significantly to the inclusive industrial growth of the country. The MSMEs are widening their domain across sectors of the economy, producing a diverse range of products and services to meet the demands of domestic as well as global markets.
Interacting with the media he said MSME Promotion Council is a non-profit organization working for the empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. The MSME Promotion Council recognizes that the MSME sector contributes significantly to the economic and social development of the country by fostering entrepreneurship and generating the largest employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital costs, next only to agriculture.
Smart Manufacturing is the way forward to the future, said Ramadevi, Director of Emerging Technologies Wing, Govt of Telangana. Engineering and Machines, Tools industries are the backbone of the nation. But they are also facing challenges. Advancements in hardware and software are changing the machine tool industry. The machine tool industry is expected to see advancements in the Inclusion of smart features and networks; Automated and IoT-ready machines, Artificial intelligence (AI); CNC software advancements. With these changes looming large, I can comfortably say smart manufacturing is the way forward, she said.
Telangana government is offering incentives and bringing in policies which enable ease of doing business. It also provides incentives. T-Work, a prototyping facility, is also added to the ecosystem. We missed the third industrial revolution. The manufacturing industry must embrace technology. With AI, IoT. The cloud and other emerging technologies make it possible to predict machine breakdowns. The Government of Telangana is organizing a conference in the city on 3D printing in Medical Devices, she said. IoT plays a critical role in smart manufacturing, she added.
Sachin, Soma, Sudhir Bhale, Manish Sinha and Sumit Parwal, Directors of IndoMach Business Solutions which is organizing the IndoMach Industrial Exhibition said that the Exhibition is a Showcase of Engineering Products and Services, Heavy and light Machines, Machinery equipment and accessories, Tools and Part Technological Devices, Products, Engineering Tools and allied Products & Services. 500 delegates and 20,000 business visitors are expected to participate in the same.
The expo is providing an opportunity for visitors to discover how smart industrial machinery can be, and how intelligent they can get.
The exhibition is open to visitors from 11 am to 7 pm. There is no entry fee.
